inflexible? stiff? hesitant? no te preocupes! this class is a specifically for you! this class is for you if you are a person that has lived in a body for over 18 years, any body that has discomfort, any body that moves. If you use chairs and computers and do not currently have a movement practice, you need this class. If you have a movement practice but don't have basic maintenance built in- oh you NEED this class. If you would like to work your way towards flat splits, backbends, handstands- this class is where you need to start!
We'll use a of range techniques to lengthen our range of motion, while strengthening our stabilizing muscles, to help combat the effects of gravity and time on our adult bodies.regressions and progressions are offered in this All Levels Practice.

mira!! the natural state of the body is flexibility. chair-using humans don't actually have to endure stiffness and discomfort. as dancers and movers, we can use postures & exercises to maintain range of motion. but like, increasing range of motion will level up a dancing body in ways drilling repetitively won't. If nothing else, it sure does help relieve tension!

Prep for Class
We get started pretty close to On Time, since we are working with one hour. Grab your #HydrationStation (water bottle)!
other props that are helpful besides a yoga mat...
âąknee padding (a blanket or pillow works)
âąyoga blocks are very handy but it's okay if you don't have any
âąstretchy bands, therabands, or mini booty bands
âąa mini pilates ball
set yourself up a nice spot! Maybe play some music in the background, put an energetic or meditative essential oil blend in your diffuser, or fire up some good incense. give your body a chance to move any way it wants to move for about a minute before we get started, and again after class for as long as you need. your setup does not have to be completely free from distraction, that not real life lol! but it can be helpful to set up with the intention of focus. I believe it helps me feel a sense of balance. Give it a try and let me know what you think about how it affects your practice! We have time for questions and answers right after class but should you need an adjustment or have a questions during class- please DO interrupt <3
